Gibbons, Mondesi Gerut, Konerko or Fullmer?

Which one of these players would you take to help you sleep better at night?

Jay Gibbons 23-100-.277 in '03
Hitting 6th behind Tejada, Palmeiro and Lopez in Baltimore

Raul Mondesi 24-71-.272 (22 SBs) in '03
Hitting cleanup between Kendall and Simon in Pittsburg

Jody Gerut 22-75-.279 in '03
Hitting 3rd between Vizquel and Bradley in Cleveland

Paul Konerko 18-65-.234 in '03
Hitting 6th and hoping for a bouceback in '03

Brad Fullmer 9-35-.306 in '03
Hitting cleanup between Blalock and Teixeira in Texas.

I currently have one hell of a creaky, injury-prone, waiting-to-pull-something outfield and util player in Jim Edmonds, Larry Walker and Juan Gonzalez. Which of the above players would you pick that would help you sleep better at night?

thanks cafe

Gibbons is the safest bet.

I like Gibbons here.

He's surrounded by better bats this year and he had a pretty good season without them last year.

I'd take Gibbons or Mondesi. Mondesi and Carl Everett tend to tear up the league in the first half - maybe you could take one of them and make a trade around mid-season :-b

yeah gibbons is the best bet to produce a 25/90ish year out of the lot, he's had 20+ hr the last two years, i wouldnt be surprised to see him regress a little bit, but not anything dramatic.

Interesting, where would you rank Mondesi and Everett as far as OF go, in the firsat half of the season anyway?
