Well if I went Webb for #3, guess I should be consistent
Strong track record for Webb, guaranteed 200+ IP from the guy. Peavy would go here if I felt confident he'd finish above .500 (Can't believe his record last year was 10-11). As i stated in the previous thread, I worry about the workload on Hamels' arm. I'll likely stay away from him this year, unless he somehow falls on draft day.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike
Webb is a solid choice, but Peavy is much more help in strikeouts. He is going to give you around 1k per ip, while Webb won't.
Wins are very inconsistent.

I got Peavy ranked at #4 but it was a tough choice between him and Webb. Personal choice but I stick Peavy before Webb partially because I rank Haren at #7 and there's a good possibility that I might take Peavy or Webb in the 3rd round while looking for a Hamels, Halladay, or Haren if I have to, in the 4th. If that ends up happening I'd much rather have Peavy and Haren than Webb and Haren since I wouldn't want my #1 and #2 SP to be on the same team due to possible issues with an SP's offense and bullpen - just my way spreading the risk a bit.
