Toronto Blue Jays Video Dynasty (The Show-PS3)

I bought Show '10 and got a good roster update on Operation Sports (a great site for rosters if you haven't been there). Does anyone else who has The Show from this year or previous years have an issue with striking out? I have great games- pitching is perfect, I give up around 3-4 runs a game with the occasional shutout or terrible game. And I can usually score a few runs with the guess pitch feature creating really fun 4-3, 4-2 games but my whole team is hitting around .200 and I strike out about 12 times a game. If I drop down a level in hitting I'm going to win every game. I could tweak the sliders to have the CPU throw more strikes but I think that would be the same as dropping a level. Right now, I have the timing down I just can't judge where the pitch is going to be and chase balls way out of the zone. Any tips? I always take the first pitch unless I guess it.
