Where I am lacking?

this is the roster i inherited when coming into a keeper league this year. i get to draft 5 more players, in addition to this already crowded list. please analyze and be honest with what i need to stay competitive in a 5x5 roto keeper league. thanks bros

Also, out of Sheets, Lawrence, Ortiz, and Penny, who can i count on to help with Morris and Prior, and who should i try to trade before the season starts? I like Sheets and his K rate, but am gun shy of the pad's lineup and the angel's potential letdown.

rolen is my 3B and hernandez is my SS.......i have no 2nd basemen at the moment....any good sleepers?

Rivas with the Twins and Bobby Hill with the Cubs are a good bet to have decent years... in the meantime, how does your bench look? Maybe you could trade for a decent 2b?

the only bench players i have are pitchers...that's my entire roster

How many teams in your league? This line-up looks pretty strong. I"m in a 14 team keeper league. Would kill for this line-up. Since you are in a roto league, saves can make or break you. My advice would be to move Prior or Ortiz for another closer. If you aren't limited to the number of innings pitched or number of drops/adds during the year, you can scrape up wins from number four and five starters and middle relievers. But 95% of saves come from the closers. Gotta have them. If Jay Witasik is available in your draft, give him a look. He'll be closing for the Padres while Hoffman heals. Could be several months. Also Tom Gordon looks to be back in good form. Good luck.

the league i'm in is a 10 teamer....i'm thinking of drafting mantei...witasick just doesn't do it for me...former royals are dangerous haha
