I would hold onto Price. If he develops that 3rd pitch a bit further, he could be real special for you in a few years. Smoak takes cares of your first base spot, so the need for Gonzalez in a few years is not there.

Agreed if you already have bodies for first no need to get Adrian. I love Bumgarner though!!

I'll go against the grain and say that I like the A gonzalez and bumgarner side of the deal. If Gonzalez ever leaves Petco he'll be a monster (FA after 2011). Price is awesome, but the difference between Gonzalez and Gamel is huge imo.

You made the right decision. These people telling you to trade Price are just plain wrong. The main idea of any trade is to get the best player in the deal, and IMO Price is the best player in the deal.

you tore that guy a new one. i liked it when you only got bumgarner and agonz back, adding another top prospect in heyward made this a great trade for you.
