I'd take Zimmerman over him. Zimmerman has a shot to make the rotation out of spring training, and if not he'll be up soon after. Martin and Zimmerman went back to back in a draft I just did, where Martin was taken first, though.

Simply put, no. Zimmerman to me profiles more as a middle of the rotation type guy (#3 or so), which I personally don't go after for fantasy purposes. You can usually find those types in deals/etc and you won't have to wait years for it to happen. Ethan much better upside and I trust the Dodgers way more than the Nationals when it comes to developing prospects.

I would take Zimmerman right now but the good thing with Martin is if he fails at 3B he can go to the mound just like McDonald did in that system, Casey Kelly is the same with the Bosox.

He's starting out as a pitcher FWIW.

Is that due to him tearing up his knee last year fielding balls at 3B, I know the organization was split on having him as a position player and pitcher. Also read that half of the teams in mlb liked him as a hitter and the other half as a pitcher just like Hicks and Kelly.
