According to the most recent statistics (2007), crime is worse in Denver than New York when it comes to both violent crimes (murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault) and property crimes (burglarly, theft, motor vehicle theft, arson). New York isn't even close to the crime capital any more. You're right about everything else though.

Murder Is 1.75 times the National Average
Rape Is 0.88 times the National Average
Robbery Is 1.97 times the National Average
All violent Crime Is 2.13 times the National Average

Denver:
Murder Is 1.46 times the National Average
Rape Is 1.48 times the National Average Is
Robbery1.15 times the National Average
All violent crime Is 0.85 times National Average

New York:
Murder Is 0.96 times the National Average
Rape Is 0.55 times the National Average
Robbery Is 1.47 times the National Average
All Violent crime Is 1.23 times the National Average

hahah thats awesome. I think Denver is the drunkest city. Might have alot to do with the rapes. Plus the altitude doesn't help ones consciousness much
