I figured we could get a rolling list of minor leaguers that people think will have an effect on the 2009 season. (NOTE: did not say how big of an impact, just somebody to watch for or stash on our minor league rosters)
I'll start of with a few and edit my post to include those listed below.
There are some decent ones in this group but for the most part these are lower tier, lesser known guys who may have a shot to get a few AB's or IP's.
Angel Salome (MIL, C) Max Ramirez (TEX, C) JP Arencibia (TOR, C) Kila Ka'aihue (KC, 1B) Kyle Blanks (SD, 1B) Gaby Sanchez (FLA, 1B) Matt Antonelli (SD, 2B) Eric Young (COL, 2B) Chris Coghlan (FLA, 2B) Alicedes Escobar (MIL, SS) Reid Brignac (TB, SS) Aaron Cunningham (OAK, OF) Drew Stubbs (CIN, OF) David Huff (CLE, SP) Adam Miller (CLE, SP) James McDonald (LAD, SP) Michael Bowden (BOS, SP) Wade Davis (TB, SP) Jeff Niemann (TB, SP) Jordan Zimmerman (WAS, SP) Jon Niese (NYM, SP) Nick Adenhart (LAA, SP) Carlos Rosa (KC, SP) Jess Todd (STL, SP) Troy Patton (HOU, SP) Josh Outman (PHI, SP) Wade LeBlanc (SD, SP)
With this said, there will likely only be a small handful of guys from the original list and this list that will make much of an impact for a fantasy team so don't go crazy here.
One guy I haven't seen posted on these lists in Gordon Beckham. With no real studs manning 2b for the White Sox, if he has a good start at AA, they could call him up prior to September.

not a bad list, but I'd stay away from Ka'ahiue. Bringing over Jacobs does't bode well for him, even though he has a really nice bat.

I'll stay away from most of them, from both lists....I was just throwing out names who may see some time this year. And Ka'aihue will see just as much time as alot of the guys in the list. Ka'aihue might just give you more production than Cahill or Anderson does this year. I'm not sold that either of those 2 guys will get anything more than some September innings. Even then, its hit or miss how effective they will be in their first go around with the big club.
