4x4 AL only keeper league. 10 teams with $260 salary cap.

This is my roster at the end of '08 after injuries, trades, etc. I finished in 4th overall.
1st in hr, rbi, avg - 4th in steals.
5th in whip, era - 6th in wins - dead last in saves (which killed me)

Players marked with K are who I'm planning on keeping. MK are those I must keep.

Debating keeping Lowrie and/or Murphy. Thinking that money maybe better spent on pitching. By cutting loose Murphy I keep my DH spot open which allows me to bid on any hitter otherwise I can only bid on guys where I have an open spot. Not sure about Lowrie. Tempted to keep him long term with SS being a thin position or for trade bait.

Highest pitching salaries usually go to closers (30-40) and then top SP (20-25) after that there's a big drop.
Priorities 1) Closer 2) top line SP

lowrie's a really good keeper. and what you think, i completely agree with. dump murphy, enable urself to bid on whomever you want. worse comes to wrose u get murphy back. and start spending on pitching. it's clearly ur biggest hole.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Ellis will be kept but the guys at 2nd who are available and that I''m targeting are:

Aaron Hill (hopefully other owners will shy away after his concussion)

Asdrubal Cabrera (sleeper)
