Jake Peavy and the strained oblique

Any thoughts on how this will affect him? Apparently it appeared last year at some point, but I thought he had a fairly solid 2nd half. It appears it did not heal with rest over the winter.

How much do you think this will this affect his performance or value? I have a solid enough staff, and really would only consider dropping him for a RP gamble like Herges.

Am I over-reacting to this? To me this sounds like it is going to linger all year long. Any insight on how this has affected others in the past?

I think you are overreacting, Jake will be fine. If the last three years have taught the Bruce Bochy anything, its how to deal with an injury, especially to a pitcher.
