Matusz or Yonder Alonso?

I just got offered J Cueto for my pick and Yunel Escobar..Any thoughts on this?

Do you need pitching? Can you possible get that person's draft pick as well or instead of Escobar with Cueto?

How big is the league? In smaller leagues I would take Cueto since there are always decent players on the WW that aren't far below Escobar and Alonso/Matusz. In larger leagues I would lean towards keeping your players since it's not as easy to replace them.

FWIW - I don't think Escobar is a startable player in a 12 team 5x5 league with no middle IF. He's a better player in real life (and also in pts leagues) than in 5x5. On the flip side of that I just drafted him in a 24 team H2H pts dynasty where his BB's help alot. And I wouldn't consider that trade in my situation.

Thanks to everyone for their input....The guy didn't have a first round pick..I went ahead and drafted Stanton...He seemed to have the most upside over the other guys...His Ks are scary but he is very young and hopes that he can cut down on them..He is also a freak athlete..I love the high risk high reward guys anyways..By the way its a 10 team league..

Thanks for the input....I have Tex and Butler so I went with Stanton....Stanton does have some concerns(contact rate) but he is still very young and should improve on that...
