All things being equal, always choose hitting. Unless you need pitching a lot more, than Matusz obviously.

I usually would go with the hitter as well. Especially in the minors. But I am not sold on Alonso and so I would take Matusz. And actually did take him in my dynasty league.

Stanton has the highest upside.
Holland showed the most improvement and has more upside than Matusz.
Matusz is the safer and more polished than Holland.
Alonso is the safest hitter and might have the fastest track to the majors if they move Votto to OF.
Beckham is raw and at premium position but us years away.

I'm not Hybrid but I'd choose Stanton or maybe you can pick someone else and wait to get him later. He's still slightly unknown.

I'd prolly go something like this...

Alonso - safe, polished, good ball park and is well ... a hitter
Matusz - close to above, just a pitcher instead
Stanton - He has power, but you have to wonder how far that can carry him. He was 18 so it gives me more hope, but those strikeouts are beyond ridiculous
Beckham - Not a big fan as mentioned in another thread lately, but he has the talent ... and if anything you could always trade him to someone who likes him a lot.
Holland - sample size, or lack of one. Yes he dominated Low A in around 100IP but he was 21, so in perspective not that amazing. High A/AA ... needs to do it more to make me believe, it kinda screams fluke with his ratios getting better.

Do you need pitching? Can you possible get that person's draft pick as well or instead of Escobar with Cueto?
