1. Engel Beltre - Highest ceiling of the remaining players and had a solid year in A ball in 2008. Could be very special with a bit more plate discipline.
2. Julio Borbon - could steal 40-50 bases(10-12 homerun potential)in a few years. Just finished up in AA and should reach AAA(and possibly the majors) by 2009. Solid average guy but needs to be a bit more selective at the plate.
3. Jason Donald - a distant third in my mind but he should be a solid hitter who can play multiple positions....maybe a Mark Loretta/Placido Polanco type player comparision.

Hope this helps a bit. :-)

not a big fan of that draft - beltre and jennings are high upside OF's but are very raw and still at the lower levels. niese is the best pick as he is major league ready and the new mets stadium is a big pitchers park.

i'd have targeted the following guys:
Yadel Marti - should be signed by spring and likely slots in as no worse then a #3 now
Stephen Starsburg - best college pitching prospect since prior
Julio Teheran - very raw, but very good upside

assuming college players are eligible these all would have been better picks then anyone ya got (just to name a few from a very good college class in the '09 Draft):
Dustin Ackley
Grant Green
Alex White
Ryan Jackson

and never too early to start thinking about bryce harper, if he's eligible in your league

I read a question regarding this Bryce Harper kid in ESPN's Jim Callis Q&A, who is this kid other than a HS.
