I don't understand it. Right after the autopick draft (I hate them too but have no time for live) I post a message stating that I have 3 SS (including Reyes, who will be 2B eligible 2 weeks into the season) and state what I am looking for in return for one of these players.
Then someone posts a message saying that the rest of us need to do all the work (obviously a lazy manager) and look at everyone else's teams, figure out what they need, and make offers. Problem with that is I have no idea what they really want, nor what they are willing to trade.
So I decide to go ahead anyway, do the work, check out which teams need better SS or 2B and make offers. No one seems to understand that the initial offer is a starting point. I am stating who I want to move, and who on the other team I am interested in. It is up to the other manager to take it from there and either send me a message or make a counter offer.
Does anyone else find that no one else in their league understands how the trade process works? Communication is key. Why do you think Yahoo added the "email league" feature? But no one seems to want to start up a conversation to work towards an agreeable trade. It's a shame.
I'm not sure what to do. I made a post essentially stating everything I said here. This is the most exciting time of the season...making trades of your team's excess for other team's excess to better balance your teams. A league with nothing but waiver wire drop/adds gets pretty boring. Help, anyone!
