I like "I" also but it seems too busy. Love the Pedroia sig, though. Matt Weiters sig is too orange.

My wife, a professional graphic designer, sat down and debated the merits of each of these for a good 20 minutes. We ended up doing our debate on comparative merits, because we honestly thought all of these were a little below what we expected to see in the competition. We immediately narrowed our choice down to A and G.

We liked A for its clarity. We liked G because it had the nostalgic look that is often associated with baseball. In the end, we went with G when we noticed the lower-right text on A. When I say noticed, I literally mean we hadn't noticed it when we first looked at it.

FWIW, B was our lowest-ranked of the submissions. Needless to say, we were surprised to see it in the lead.

The one reason I didn't vote for the Lince sig is because the sort of awkward looking position Lince is in when you look at it. If it was a cleaner angle and I probably would've voted for it.

I didn't vote for A for a number of reasons. The background is largely indistinguishable except for the semitransparent Pedroia and Sox logo. The foreground, Pedroia, was just cut and pasted. The Garza and Lince sigs are inches behind the Wieters sig IMO.

Let's try and keep the discussion in the other thread, but I can definitely tell you that the render (what you call the foreground) on sig A was certainly not just cut and pasted. We'll let the artist explain himself after the voting is done but I can promise you that there are multiple layers there with hard/soft light.

Just did a quick search and found the original pic.

Do you see a difference? I know I do. As I said before, I also like sig B, but I can promise you that less was done with those renders than sig A.
