10 Team Yahoo Roto League
OK so howd I do? I think I did pretty good for SP considering I waited a while to get them because I figured it was easier to make up for SP later than to make up for positional problems. Am I ok in RP and steals? What are my strengths and weaknesses-what do I need to improve and am I contender for league championship- I thought I did pretty good but hit me with all you got-I take criticism well. Thanks for any and all suggestions or comments its greatly greatly appreciated. Mike

Vlad at 8th and Beltran at 12th are great values. Overall I would say your hitting is not bad, but not great. A lot will depend on whether Sweeney stays healthy and what kind of year Chavez has without much protection in the Oakland lineup. Your pitching should do pretty well in ERA, WHIP, and Wins, but you are a little short on strikeouts, and I wouldn't count on either of your bench pitchers to help you much, since your league only counts saves as a relief category. I would think about looking for another reliever (one who has a closer job) on the waiver wire and dropping Williamson.
Bah, humbug.

I'd definitely look for another closer. Wickman was just added to Yahoo, so you could drop Williamson for him or another closer. Who's still availiable?

I'd also take a good look at which SP's are still availiable. Maybe someone got overlooked?

Thanks for helping, unfortunately there are NO closers that went undrafted even ryan wagner was picked up in 20th round-Wickman is available but I'd have to go through waivers to get him and I'm 3rd on the waiver list-should I still get him and lose waiver position or try to set up a trade for another middle tier RP? SP is weak but I think I can pick up someone for innings and K's to replace the waste of picks that were williamson and hawkins

I'd get rid of Pierzynski, Hawkins and Williamson for closer help or maybe a stronger first basemen.

I don't think there will be any takers once SF figures out that he isn't far better than Benito.

I think the best days of Sweeney are far behind him so package him in for somebody like...I dunno Derek Lee if you can.
