Cerrone also relays a Tom Verducci report from the MLB Network saying Martinez recently rejected a one-year, $7MM offer from an AL team. He must really dislike that team, because he's not going to get that kind of money elsewhere

I'd be surprised if the Yankees offered it to him. He and Posada have a history. I'm not sure they'd want to bring him in at all.

I'd like to see him return to the mets, I'd offer him a 1yr 8 mil, with an incentive for +6 mil if he hits 200 ip.
