5 in a row for Canada

Postby Mookie4ever » Wed Jan 07, 2009 5:08 pm

As I am sure you are all by now well aware on Monday night Team Canada won its fifth straight gold medal in the year's best hockey tournament - The World Juniors held this year in Ottawa, Ontario.

Members of this year's team are John Tavares (this year's sure fire first overall pick), PK Subban of the Canadiens and Cody Hodgson.

Our gold medal teams:
2008 team included Steve Mason and Kyle Turris
2007 team included Carey Price, Jonathan Toews
2006 team included Andrew Cogliano, Kyle Chipchura
2005 team, the best in history - Syd Crosby, Jeff Carter, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Mike Richards, Patrice Bergeron, Dion Phaneuf - that's almost an NHL All Star starting lineup :-°

Congrats Canada.

In other news Carrie Underwood is now dating Mike Fisher Peterborough ONtario boy playing for the Ottawa Senators - coincidentally the Sens are now in last place.

I think it would be a bigger story if Team Canada didn't win five in a row.

Only during the curling offseason.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
