Let the party begin! What an awesome sign! The Tribe's rotation is sweet:
1. Cliff Lee- ace
2. Busto Carmona- golden
3. Carl Pavano- rock solid
4. Anthony Reyes- Cut from Cards now our #4!
5. Aaron Laffey- ace in waiting
Best rotation in the bigs!! World Series here we come! Good thing we let CC go, there is no room for him in this rotation!

In what world is Pavano considered rock solid?

Brother there might have been a hint of sarcasm in my post, just a hint. Actually a smidge. A tad. A touch.

I like the Pavano signing; he has a good upside and is cheap, but no way should he be a #3 starter.

I'm kinda "meh" on this deal, but there are some positives.
- If Pavano stays healthy we have a league average starter (99 ERA+ career) for $1.5 million which is a huge steal.
- If he dosn't, we are only eating $1.5 million. Which is what, maybe 2% of our payroll?
- This likely takes Sowers out of contention for making the team. That in itself is worth A LOT more than $1.5 million.
- I think he could be a Paul Byrd/Scott Elarton for us.
