They only need to be healthy in October. They can have their DL stints here and there throughout the season and the Cubs will survive - heck, they'll probably win the Central again with 100 games from Bradley and 20 starts from Harden.

It's the postseason when we need these guys. That's what this trade and any future trade is for.

He's what the Cubs need if he stays healthy. It is a bad contract but the Cubs are going for broke and the Tribune is trying to sell the team.

Seems like an overpayment, though, especially when you consider the Burrell signing.
