His shoulder surgery went well back in Sept, and everything points to him being ready by the time spring training rolls around...
In Seattle, I wouldn't expect very many wins, and his long term health track record is pretty terrible, so there's no telling that this guy will be around for the bulk of the season, but when he does pitch, he should be solid.
Walks should improve and get back to prior levels, K's should approach 9 K/9...and even last year people didn't hit off him.
I think a pretty conservative projection: 150 IP, 3.60 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 145 K...with potential for another 40 innings and 50 strikeouts..but I can't count on him for 200 innings.
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?
He's already throwing and should be fully healthy by the time ST rolls around.
As for what to expect... I'd expect him to be pretty dominant when on the mound - it's just a question of how often he'll be out there. I would peg him for somewhere around 25-28 starts, 150-175 innings, about a K/IP, a BB rate around 3.3 / 9 (way down from his near 4.5 / 9 last year), and a BAA around .225. I would say that gives him... an ERA around 3.6 and a WHIP around 1.25. He could be better than this, if he can revert to '07 form, and he could obviously be worse.

Yup! His MDP right now is 172 (early 14th round in a 12 teamer). If he can indeed throw 150-165 innings and get close to 9 K/9 with a mid 3's ERA, I'll take that.

Depends when you have to pull the trigger. Looking at his ADP right now, you could probably cast him loose and still get him back at value. But if his draft slot starts climbing with positive news reports and/or ST appearances, that could change.

Actually if i choose to keep him then i only lose the round of his ADP ... so if he is a 10 - 14th round pick is it worth using one of my 8 keepers on him and giving up a 10 - 14 round pick?
Here are my list of keepers:
