NL only Tulo/Drew/Loney

Postby prusaw » Sat Jan 03, 2009 11:49 am

8 team Nl only, 5x5 roto, 7 keeper...

Would you keep: Kershaw ($11- 3 yrs), Drew ($9- 2yrs), Tulo ($6 1 yr), Loney ($1-1 yr)

How would you rank the 4 players?

I'm leaning toward Kershaw (though I already have Santana and Gallardo as keepers)

Who are your other keepers and specs on them?

I like them ranked as they're listed, but I'd really like to try and get you to keep Kershaw and Drew both, if possible.

I would keep Drew for $9 for the 2 years. He and Tulo are very close in my opinion, but the extra year weighs more to me than the $3.

Loney for $1 is nice, but the savings over the SS prices doesn't weigh as much to me as their differences in ADP. Kershaw doesn't measure up to me at $11 even though it is 3 years.

Drew, Kershaw, tulo, Loney.

The rest of your list matters though. Drew is clearly the best keeper with Loney far behind.
Kershaw and tulo are close.

wow tough call...i have them rated one dollar apart from tulo (highest) to kershaw (lowest) but your salaries and contracts really make it interesting...i guess i would have to know your entire roster and more info regarding your league to make an informed decision

drew
kershaw
tulo
loney

the extra year on kershaw is tempting, but i think that drew has proven it in the big leagues while kershaw has not overrides that.

I'd go with Drew for two years. I think Kershaw will continue to be a work in progress, even if it doesn't surprise me if he breaks out by the third year a la Billingsley.

My other keepers would be:

Wright- 42
Santana- 39
Aramis Ramirez- 26
R. Martin 8
Gallardo - 1
Fielder- 26

I really want Kershaw, but I could keep Drew for cheap and then likely pick up Kershaw in the draft with my #2 pick (for the same price).... though I might have a shot at some other good players instead (Harang, Votto??, Vasquez, ...)

This is how I would rank them also. Kershaw and Drew are close, but I give the slight edge to Drew.

Yeah, there's no swapping out any of those guys. Keep Drew. Draft Kershaw or Votto if they are available.
