Whick keeper to keep?

Postby davercomeau » Fri Jan 02, 2009 9:14 pm

Here are the 13 keepers I want to keep:

Carlos Pena
Matt LaPorta
Lance Berkman
Justin Morneau
David Wright
Rafeal Furcal
Taylor Teagarden
Carlos Quentin
Vlad Guerrero
Carlos Lee
John Danks
Roy Halladay
Matt Cain

I have one more keeper that I can keep. Which one would you choose?
Derek Jeter
Andrew McCutchen

Jeter seems like a no brainer, but he is definitely declining and Andrew McCutchen should start this year.

Jeter for me, he's declining but he's still a solid shortstop and still has value.

Jeter ;-D , McCutchen should be available in your draft, I doubt Jeter would be.

That's how I like to think about my keepers. Even in a dynasty, I think I'd take Jeter and let McCutchen be redrafted. Most of what I've read, McCutchen starts back out in AAA unless he has a great spring. Also I'm not sold on keeping Teagarden, but I suppose it depends on your league's settings...How deep, how many Cs, etc.
Good luck, feel free to PM me
