Its really not different from seeing how many people continue to spell Blalock ( Blaylock )
Yes I would do the trade of Webb for Teixiera

I'd definitely trade Webb for Tex. I'd deal Peavy for Tex too, but strongly prefer to trade Webb instead.

Should I now trade Peavy for Markakis

I would rather trade Peavy for Markakis because I question is health and even if he stays healthy am concerned he will be traded to the AL come June-July

Definitely like the Webb for Teixeira move. I would have said sit tight with Peavy so you have one ace going into next year, but I'm a sucker for Markakis. I think his numbers already are tremendous, and if you take into account he's still pre-prime and his power numbers are likely on the way, I like this move for you.

As far as Pujols, don't sweat him, he actually had surgery at the end of the season, so he'll be fine (basing this on Ron Shandler's injury recap in Baseball Forecaster). With the bats you are starting off with, it's obvious you'll have to draft pitching often. I wouldn't worry about attempting to get the top catcher on the board, because I think their is going to be a logjam at the position this year. Guys I like (that I imagine may not be kept) are Matt Wieters, Ryan Doumit, Pablo Sandoval, Chris Iannetta, Mike Napoli (especially if he gets more AB's this year) and whoever emerges in Texas of Teagarden/Salty/Ramirez. As far as arms, I'd say get a stable bullpen in order, and then put together a group of number 3/4/5 starters types with some upside. Good luck!
