I would use Tex in the UTIL position if I made the trade or I may trade Pujols in the offseason because I'm not convinced he doesn't need major surgery within the next 1-2 years. I've been offered Tex for either one and wanted to ask
Yes. Definitely do it. You could always turn around and trade Tex for a SP upgrade in Santana or Lincecum if you're not comfortable putting Tex in a utility spot.
Apparently he will only take Webb, so the question then becomes should I trade Webb for Tex and then trade Peavy for either Mccann or a RF, I know it sounds crazy but if I could get a really good RF, ( I already know I can get Mccann) for Peavy it wouldn't hurt my feelings to go into the offseason with keepers being something like
C ??? 1B Pujols 2B Kinsler SS Reyes 3B Wright LF Quentin CF SIzemore RF ??? UTIL Tex

Definitely do the Webb for Teix swap. I wouldn't sell myself on an idea like "sell Peavy for a RF" -- your bats are very strong right now, Peavy is a nice anchor to a staff, so I'd be content to keep him unless a real nice RF came along to swap him for.
I'm not sure...sure the deal makes sense to pick up a great bat, but Webb is pretty liable. Not to mention you already have top players at their position. I kinda like the idea of Webb and Peavy shoring up my rotation before entering the draft....and this coming from a guy who typically does not keep pitchers (until he switched leagues that favor K pitchers. ) Afterall, pitching is half the points/categories in fantasy baseball. What type of guys would be left for you to pick in the draft? And since your thinking about trading Pujols, what do you think you could get in return?
Not with the offense you already have. No way. Your offense is loaded and you've got two stud pitchers. Take comfort in the fact you have a serious advantage over everyone from the get go. Stand pat.
The reason I'm even thinking about it is because its a 7x7 H2H league, if I need to I can pretty much win W, K, IP every week and lose ERA, WHIP, L. Saves are the only ? but I won the league last year with 3 closers that took over half way through the season. So if I can win 4-5 of the hitting categoris during the playoffs I will win every year unless I get alot of injuries. Hitting categories are H, HR, R, RBI, K, AVG, SB
