Post your wierd dreams here!

Postby DbacksRback » Fri Jan 02, 2009 3:15 pm

I woke up today remember two different dreams that make nooo sense.
1) I had a 3 point shooting contest with....Troy Murphy http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/p ... yerId=1013. No idea why??

2)I was thrown into the ocean and had to take pictures of whales but then got thrown into jail after i threw the camera and tried to grab the whales tail and ride them :-? !+)

I rememeber waking up from both of them and just asking myself what the hell was i thinking??

My most memorable was a dream I had when I was five and I still remember it.

I was rock climbing with my dad, his college buddy, and his college buddy's son. We came up onto a plateau where there was a stone arch and what appeared to be some sort of garden. There was a short paved path through the garden. On either side of the path the "garden" was dirt covered with giant insects and other gross things including a white snake with black eyes. For some reason I tried to walk on the path and fell down. As the creatures started towards me I called to my dad for help, and right before I woke up my dad said:

"Help yourself."

I've heard that the number one fear of children is abandonment, so maybe that's all that was about.

Not mine, but right after the WS ended my roommate dreamed that the Yankees signed Sabathia and then people found a bunch of bodies buried under the new Yankee Stadium's pitcher's mound. So far, one has come true... :-?

Does anybody else frequently have lucid dreams? It's when you're aware that you're dreaming while the dream is in progress and/or you're able to control what's going on in your dream.

I never really read anything about it, as to what causes them or why they occur. I always thought that was how dreams were supposed to be until I got into a conversation about it with a buddy, and he started telling me a little bit about them.

I dreamed last night that I was playing bass with the Beach Boys in the episode of Full House where DJ wins tickets to their concert.

sometimes...but usually when i wake up i can recall about 0.5% of any dream...it's like that Seinfeld episode where he tries to keep a dream log

i often have dreams where i'm checking my fantasy stats (sometimes good, sometimes bad) only to wake up and realize it never happened

I had a pretty good one last night where I was a random, non-descript family gathering and my brother took the last of the beef quesadillas (which I don't even like), so I punched him in the head and we got into a knock-down, drag-out fight over it. I ended up waking up (only remembering a few tasty details, I'm sure) drooling on my pillow as I was spitting out the "blood" from the fight.

Really random for sure !+) :-b

Yeah, I get a number of those during the baseball season. More times than not, I have dreams about programming or compiling stuff, good and bad dreams, both of which I consider to be nightmares. :-b

Back on topic, there was a dream I had recently, where one moment I was theater-hopping with a friend, decided that one movie sucked and had gone onto another screen, only to realize it was the sports gambling section of a Vegas casino. Took a seat there, next thing I knew I was traveling down the hall, probably theater-hopping again, only to notice the hallway reminded me of a hotel. I opened one suite and I found myself in the luxury suite at Staples Center, taking in the Lakers/Warriors game. I took a seat, but realized I was hungry and needed a beer and helped myself out to the free concessions. When I got my food and drink, I turned my head to realize I was at a family gathering with some friends. We were all on a spacious wooden balcony that served as outdoor patio/kitchen extended to the second/third floor of a family member's house (there was also a pool). The Lakers/Warriors game was shown on a huge big-screen panel down on the backyard level. By coincidence, I took a seat next to my cousin. She and I have never gotten along and hadn't spoken in years. Whenever there was a family occasion where it required we'd get together, we'd ignore each other. Same thing happened in this dream. I was just eating while she had her body positioned away, talking to a friend somewhere across the balcony, but I didn't mind she was there or even that we were breathing the same air (which I probably would mind in real-life). I then realized I needed some dessert and had gotten some tiramisu cheesecake. Then I woke up. :-b

Thatsa very descriptive dream AD 8-o. I always have dreams about meeting players/ getting autographs from them only to wake up and get mad to realize i never me them and dont have an auto. I remember when Thome was on the phillies i had a dream i met him and he signed a bat for me ( i wasnt even a big fan of him at the time) and I was so happy. I woke up soon after looked around and just said, "Damn" :-b

Yeah I wish I could remember my dreams that well...I always wake up with only some weird single thought in my head that I assume was a part of a dream.
