8 team league 10x10, 12 keepers ... really torn here ...

Postby moochie » Thu Jan 01, 2009 11:57 pm

Hey guys ... roster is below ... I had the most stacked team (made some great trades early last year) in my league and still lost the championship game. :(
We start a regular lineup plus two UTIL
4 SP, 4 RP, and 2 P
HTH, We keep 12 guys ... I've gone through and tried to figure this out several times but each time my list comes up different. Do any of you see an obvious 12 man keeper list in this bunch?

C Russell Martin
1B Mark Teixeira
2B Chase Utley
3B Miguel Cabrera
SS Hanley Ramirez
2B Dustin Pedroia
OF Matt Holliday
OF Josh Hamilton
OF Ryan Church
OF Brad Hawpe
1B Ryan Howard
1B Chris Davis
C Victor Martinez
OF Grady Sizemore
OF Pat Burrell
SS Troy Tulowitzki
2B Alexi Casilla
3B Evan Longoria

SP Matt Garza
SP Francisco Liriano
SP Jake Peavy
SP Johan Santana
SP Scott Kazmir
SP Cole Hamels
RP Brian Fuentes
RP Joba Chamberlain
RP Joey Devine
RP Hong-Chih Kuo

Well, you are stacked, but then it's an 8 team league....

1B Mark Teixeira
1B Ryan Howard
2B Chase Utley
3B Miguel Cabrera
SS Hanley Ramirez
OF Matt Holliday
OF Josh Hamilton
OF Grady Sizemore
3B Evan Longoria
SP Jake Peavy
SP Johan Santana
SP Cole Hamels

This loses Pedroia (do you have a MI slot?), Liriano, Kazmir, Joba, and both catchers, but I don't think there's a guy here who would go later than the 3rd round in a 12 team draft, in fact, about 8 of them would go in the 1st round. Does Cabrera still qualify at 3B?

I was really torn over whether to stick with Pedroia or Howard.

Hard to let Hamels or Pedroia go freely, but if possible, I'd pair them both for a possible keeper upgrade.
