Here's a conversation not worth having again. If you haven't already, read THIS THREAD where this topic was covered... extensively.

Please don't tell me that you have been around these boards since 2004 without reading any one of 3000 thread topics regarding Bonds.

I usually avoid them...but I posted this thread...not to start the "roid" discussion...but to explore his comeback.

Mark McGuire? Jose Canseco? Sammy Sosa? Brady Anderson?
And so many more....they messed up a generation of baseball statistics that will forever cause baseball fans consternation.
Goodbye, and good riddence Barry

I've written and erased 6 different retorts to this, but I've decided that it wasn't worth the effort.
Ah, yet you posted anyway. This way you get to imply your crushing argument without giving me anything to reply to. Wheres the applause smily?
So what exactly do you think happened here. All the owners called each other up and actually said "I won't sign bonds if you don't"? I just can't see it happening in this age without anyone actually finding out (rather than just speculating). Well, its not impossible at least, I'll say that. Do you think its 100% that it IS what happened? Not even a chance the owners viewed the PR and other issues that come with bonds that highly?

I'd love to see him comeback, I'm not sure how much he has left though. Being out of the game for well over a year would be tough for anybody, the age factor makes it even more challenging. We all know that he'll be extremely motivated either way.
I'm completely at piece with the steriods era. Steroids or not, he was one of the greatest players I've ever seen. I'll be teaching my kids that swing some day.
