14 team Auction league, help me with my keepers!

I posted this a few weeks ago but my roster has changed slightly since then. I'm entering the second year of a 5 year auction keeper league. 14 teams, 5x5 (AVG, HR, R, RBI, SB/W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP). Salaries increase by $3 every year with a $270 cap for 27 roster spots (C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, MI, CI, 5 OF, U, 9 P, 5 Bench). Here are my options for 2009 with their values for the upcoming season. All feedback and comments greatly appreciated. Please let me know who you would keep and what your strategy for filling out the roster for 2009 would be.

How many keepers: unlimited? I'm in a 15 team with 8 keepers, $300 auction for 25 players and we just submitted our keepers on 31 Jan. Quick order would be:

TOTAL $218 leaving $52 for MI, 5 P, 4 Bench. If you can get 2 Ps and 3 bench for <=$2 each, that will leave $42 for your MI and 3 P

You have nice values for most of your players, you can make an argument to keep everyone except Arredondo. That said I may cut Manny or even Braun if I thought there was gonna be an Top 10 player especially any IF available. you have a real nice base there w/ Lince,Kemp,Quentin,Price,Bruce and Youkilis signed to very good contracts. I would look to add another superstar in the draft and fill out my roster w/ cheaper players. You seem to have a pretty good eye for talent as the peripheral guys on your team are all pretty solid values

Yes, only drop Arredondo, and maybe Jimenez.

Everyone else seems to have good/decent profit potential and with unlimited keepers, I would bet the auction pool is thin and inflation is high. What are your free agent rules?

If you want to have extra money for the auction, you could throw Manny back if you like. I think Sandoval and Arredondo are a bit pricey and so I'd throw them back.

thanks for all the input. I'm expecting quite a bit of inflation for premium players who aren't protected for 2009. I'm curious why a few people don't see Manny as a keeper at $29. Any predictions as to the type of season he will have? I was leaning towards hanging on to him for one more season. Thanks

a lot of the time whether or not you should keep a player depends on your specific league, if there is quite a bit of inflation in your draft which leads to the big name players going for a lot, then keeping manny at $29 is fine.
