How bad do you need a good starter? Are you left with any closers if you do make the trade? I would consider making the trade. While he's not an ace, Dice is an above average starter and Lidge has had his problems in the past.
Meh. I am not big on keeping closers at all. Dice-K will regress yes, but he's still probably 17+ wins, 200+ Ks with a decent ERA and WHIP. I'll take the starter every day.

I'm not big on closers either, but I hate DiceK's comedy.
Like the others have said, I'm not huge on keeping closers, though I like the thought of keeping Daisuke less. He's got all the talent in the world, but his nibbling and pitching away from contact and his awful walk rate is bound to catch up with him at some point I believe. Though the K's are nice, I think his ERA could balloon this year, and I could see him posting a pretty mediocre WHIP.
I do like the idea of dealing Lidge though. Any chance you could sell him for another starter? Maybe someone who is a bit more stable that gets less respect like John Lackey perhaps?
If you don't mind, I'd greatly appreciate some help with mine as well, leave your link again too if you have any other potential trades on the table for Lidge.

I don't like Dice-K either, but believe he is talented enough to improve upon his horrible walk rate from last year. If you can find somebody dumb enough to trade for a closer in a keeper, than by all means go that route. If not, I would still rather have Dice-K.

his walk rate, while a huge problem, isn't the only story. he had a .267 BABIP which was one of the lowest of any SP and will most definitely regress back to the .300 range. he had 6.1% HR/FB which will regress back to around 10% (he cannot sustain a .64 HR/9 with his FB rate). he had an 80.6% LOB% which people try to say is attributed to his ability to "step it up a notch" with runners on base, but in reality is basically just another luck factor and should regress back to the standard 73% range. so even if he does improve on his insanely bad walk rate, there are a lot of reasons to stay away this year imo, he just cannot continue to be this lucky.
