I wouldn't say the boston lineup wont be productive....... nevin hasnt seen much baseball lately. he obviously has more potential but d.o. is the more sure pick.

I guess I'm in the minority, but i like David over Nevin. I think some people are sleeping on Ortiz this year. He is getting lumped into the same category with other sox players who had career years like Mueller and Tek. This guy is relatively young and was finally given a chance to hit in a good lineup. The other two I mentioned are in the decline phase. Ortiz is peaking. I think you are making a bid mistake if you label him as a career year guy. I am fully expecting a .290 35 110 campaign hitting behind Manny and Nomar. If you think Nevin will produce more than this, by all means take him.

I agree with gregdub. Ortiz is the much better choice. He's hitting in a much better hitting ballpark, whereas Nevin has to get used to a canyon in right-center field. The hitters around David are stronger and the pitching is going to keep them in the hunt more. I like D.O.

What is Nevin's contract situation?
Ortiz is playing for a big payday.
I like both guys, but Nevin is attracting sigificantly more hype.
