It may not be significant, but I've wanted Michael Barrett on the Jays for years. He should prove to be a better hitter than starter Rod Barajas, and it will prevent Jays fans from having to see Curtis Thigpen get 200 awful AB this season. He also punched AJ Pierzynski in the face, too, so he can't be all bad.
