A few? Look at the Mets, its more than a few. Arizona has a terrible bullpen. The Yankees won't give up on an old guy and that will cost them.

Pitching wins you games. All Tim needs is 2 runs and he can win a game.
Jay Bruce is mah franchize. I love you Chris Davis!

I actually ended up trading for Webb

GOt an offer of Rios, Liriano, and Cliff Lee for Webb

SO my keepers have become

Pujols
Kinsler
Reyes
Wright
Quentin
Sizemore
Peavy
Webb

I won the league this year and should of won last year, it took me 4 years to build this team through making trades like I did for Webb. I will trade Sizemore in the offseason because its a 7x7 league and he kills me in 2 sometimes 3 of the categories

You should have done the Lincecum/Markakis deal.

I still think Sizemore has room to grow....so keep that in mind. His BABIP was lower than usual so his batting average declined. Yet, he hit more home runs and struck out less. Plus, he's only 26. I'd hold on to him. ;-D

What you said is exactly true. All Lincecum needs is two runs to win a game, which means that margin for error of having that win sift through his hands is greater.

Other candidates:

Brandon Webb - gets the wins, but doesn't get the Ks
Johan Santana - in a tough offensive division, should get the wins and Ks, but will have a high ERA
CC Sabathia - in the most offensive division in baseball, will get the wins and the Ks but will have a high ERA

Johan Santana has never had a high ERA in his entire career as a starting pitcher. Why will he have one in '09? Why will Sabathia suddenly have an ERA in a division where top pitchers have shown their ability to have great ratios? Brandon Webb has struck out 194 and 183 batters the last two years, hardly something to shake a stick at, and 4th in the NL in '07.

I'm not saying Tim isn't a great fantasy pitcher, but I don't think I'd call him the most valuable pitcher in the league. The above three, or at least two of the three, along with guys like Hamels have something to say about that.
