This signing doesn't bother me, They actually needed a CF. What bothers me is that they are looking to sign Hairston Jr to be their LF.

Behind Dickerson and Hopper? Seriously? He got regular playing time in a Rockies OF that had Spilborghs competing. Spilborghs is easily better than both Dickerson and Hopper.

Bingo. Most teams would love to have him as a 4th OF but not a starter. Good defense and great speed off the bench is a really nice option to have available but he's just not good enough to start on most teams. The Reds on the other hand are bad enough in the OF that he'll easily start.
