But I rather have Chris Davis than him, and as for Mark Reynolds I will take EE over Reynolds.
Are you the same guy that drafted Jeremy Hermida every year?
I think that McPherson party might get started this year. I'm, not usually big on guys that K at his pace, but his power is legit. He will likely be given a shot to play on a thrifty Marlins team this year, and he's likely to go at the end of drafts assuming he's drafted at all. Cheap investment with top notch power potential. It's also not like the guy came out of nowhere to post that power in AAA, he has always been touted as a power guy, and simply stayed healthy. Certainly not starting fantasy team material at 3B in 10-12 team leagues, but in deeper leagues or leagues with deep benches worth a shot I think.
I also like Andy LaRoche. He'll get a shot to stick at 3B with the Pirates, and hit well in AAA. Has good patience (which has translated to the Majors), was another pretty well thought of prospect, has power potential, and has no pressure in Pittsburgh. The ballpark is bad, the lineup isn't very good, but aren't the cons part of what depress his value and make him a sleeper?
The semi-sleeper I like the most is Alex Gordon though. After two years in the bigs, I think this could be the year he begins to live up to the enormous hype. I think he could well outperform his ADP. If he makes any strides against lefties he could be very very good this year. He is already a reasonable start against righties (and currently a must sit against lefties), so he already has reasonable value in daily roster change leagues. I would in no way be surprised if Gordon went 90-30-100 .290 and chipped in 10-15 SB's. I'm not sure what his ADP is, but given the talent level, I think he is a decent guy to consider when the top options are off the board at the position.
Actually, I'm surprised that the Dallas McPherson hype machine hasn't gotten out of hand yet. He did hit 42 home runs in AAA last season and is slated to be the opening day 1B, right?
