Stuck on my last keeper (WHIR)

Postby Holein1 » Wed Dec 24, 2008 6:12 pm

I get to keep 5 players. this is a 12 team league and I lose the round they were drafted in. Here it is

I am keeping:

AROD - 1st round
Sizemore - 2nd round
Lincuem - 9th round
Votto - 22rd round

Here is where I am stuck:

Halladay - 6th round
Greinke - 22rd round
Scherzer - 22nd round

Tough choice between Halladay and Greinke. I'd keep Halladay if you want to bolster your pitching staff. I think if you want to bolster your offense, save the 6th round pick for a bat and keep Greinke. I think Greinke is going to be a very good pitcher this year.

Thanks for the help on mine, I will post my lineup in my signature with this post if you want to add some more advice.

FYI: I'm in a 12-team keeper, roto (standard stat + holds/OBP) league. Also, I'm planning on cutting Mora soon, so I'll have two empty utility spots.

Sorry, I also have Slowey, Pelfrey and Dempster on my bench that I will have to cut if I don't move a pitcher in my starting lineup ;-D

I like Greinke here. Use that 6th Round Pick on a bat.

i'd go with greinke, the round difference more than makes up for the difference in value between the two imo.

Much as I like Halladay as top 5/6 arm, Greinke is the right choice here ;-D

Gotta go with Greinke, 6th round for Halladay is a steal but the 22nd for Greinke is at least 10 rounds later than where he will actually go.

I have to agree with Greinke. At round 22 , he's a steal. I'm sure you'll get a nice player in round 6.

One more vote for Greinke, value is just too good. Take a look at mine if you would.

I'd keep Greinke for the long term benefits, not to mention he's more of a strikeout pitcher who's primed to good for many years to come.
