Is Chacon going to be worth picking up this year as a closer or should i stay away?

I like him (and have him on 2 teams)....he actually pitches well at Coors and if he's healthy I think he's a nice pickup......

Chacon's biggest advantage is that he grew up in Colorado, so he learned to pitch in the thin air. He's worth picking up because he'll get saves, but it is still Coors so don't expect an ERA under 4.

i agree with bravelaker, not matter how well he pitches, its still colorado and hes era will still be higher then most closers.

i know it's basically split down the middle amongst u cafe'ers... but if u expect chacon's ERA to be over 4... u think taking a shot with danny graves would be safer??

i think chacon will get a decent amount of saves, but expect his ERA and WHIP to hurt you. i think id compare him to jorge julio but with about 5-7 less saves this year
welcome home andy

I have him on my pre-draft, really late. I think he is a decent sleeper. A closers ERA has little effect on your team's stats.
All that really matters is his saves.

One big difference is that Graves will be looking over his shoulder at Reitsma and Wagner all season.....
