It's pretty clear who are the guys with this tag. The ones who performed really well last year seemingly out of the blue. The names here would include Carlos Quentin, Dustin Pedroia, Ryan Ludwick, Cliff Lee, Edinson Volquez, and so forth.
I'm sure everyone here will draft these guys if they're a value, but really, that's a given and I'm wondering if anyone is specifically targeting the guys everyone here predicts will perform nowhere near their '08 value, preferably even reaching a little bit to make sure they get them. If so, which universal busts do you want on your team for '09 and why?
I'd also add McLouth to that list. I don't see myself reaching for any of those guys but if I get good value (maybe a round later than their average/median draft position), I won't hesitate to pull the trigger if they fill a need.
Edit: Make that 2 rounds for Pedroia. He is being taken WAY too early.
I'd also add that I think Ludwick is a decent value in comparison to a guy like Quentin. Ludwick in the 7th or 8th is a far better pick than Quentin in the late 2nd/early 3rd. There isn't a better spot to be in any lineup in baseball than hitting 4th for the St. Louis Cardinals, and I can see Ludwick approaching his numbers from last year just because he'll continue to see great pitches.
