I like your offense a lot for an 18 team league, and Kazmir as your ace is very nice. Your rotation needs a lot of work. I'm guessing your draft is very thin. What are your draft pool rules, wondering if you can go after minor prospects? Is your league active with trades? How did this team place last year?

My next pick isnt until a while, but im considering taking Balantien, Chris Snyder,(trade pieces) or Davies or Looper.

This is a start up dynasty league. I took over for a bad owner midway thru the major league draft. We have two drafts, a major and a minor. We are nearing the end of the majors then we will start the minors. I traded Matt Kemp, Yunel Escobar, #1 overall minor for Hanley, and some minor picks. This league is very active and alot of trades.

With my first minor pick (late 1st) i hope Teagarden or Pedro fall to me. Prospects are under 50ip or 130 abs.

Should i keep Kazmir or try to trade him?

I think you need a staff ace so I would not look to shop him. My initial thought was to try and move Beltran (who I think is trending downwards) or Guillen, but you may need the RBI production. Wish I could be more help but I just don't have the players memorized enough to make quick decisions on other rosters. I love that you went out an got HanRam, and I like your offensive pieces so far. You need a couple of young live arms in your staff.

I like Kazmir better, expecially long term as he is ~7 years younger. I know everyone is high on Burnett this year and I do expect a good year, but he is not great or an ace. Valverde is a nice piece for Randy, but again not a guy I would go out and target. Overall I would say you may get better numbers this year but I give this trade a thumbs down long term.
