I am very interested in this league (especially being a Cubs fan myself and seeing them available). But I have never played in a dynasty league before, so I am unfamiliar with basic dynasty play. I have been in a standard 5x5 mixed keeper league since 1998 though so I am no a rookie to fantasy baseball
Can you give me some clarification on setting salaries and contracts? What does COTS have to do with determining salaries?
I am also a bit confused on the draft picks section.
Just a few questions before I say yes! And, I was able to find the rosters.

Thanks!
Cots is where we get the real life salaries from.....the rest are from free agent contracts or prospects.
Draft picks=you get the parent clubs first 2 picks;meaning if the club has 2 1st round picks, those are yours,or if the club has a 1st and a 3rd round, those are yours,in other words whereever the real life team picks, you get their 1st 2 picks
Thanks, again I have never played ina dynasty league, so this is all new. So, just to clarify:
All players' salaries are the same as their real-life salaries once they are drafted? Does that include contract length as well? Free agents though have their salaries set by the bidding system then?
The draft picks seems a bit arbitrary - why not based on the finish within the league and not real-life? A team could finish in 1st in the league but in last in real life and still get a top draft pick?
Sorry, just curious on these things as I make a decision.

Length up to a 7 yr contract, this is the leagues 3rd yr,so more and more contracts become FA contracts over real life contracts....as per draft picks,it may get changed eventually to a draft base on last season standings, maybe for 2010...idk yet
I think I beginning to see how things work. Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure it is the right fit for me so I can commit and not flake out on everyone!
To clarify then, initially we would use a player's current contract to set their price. That player could be kept for up to 7 years at that salary. If they are not kept, then they go into the FA pool and their salaries are determined in a FA bidding.
Also, what does PPC, RLC, and FCC stand for alongside the players contracts? (I'm guessing Prospect, real-life, full count contracts?)
