Pick 4 from this group - WHIR

Postby Santana4Cy » Wed Dec 17, 2008 7:23 pm

This is my 2nd place roster from last year. It's a 12 team, 5x5 roto league, and I will have the 11th pick in the 1st round. I have to pick 4 from this group. Currently leaning to Teixeira, Reyes, Kemp and Peavy, but would like any opinions.

2B - Alexei Ramirez
3B - Russell Martin
SS - Jose Reyes
CI - Casey Kotchman
MI - Miguel Tejada
OF - Carlos Beltran
OF - Milton Bradley
OF - Raul Ibanez
U - Michael Young
U - Matt Kemp
BN - Alex Gordon
BN - Jim Thome
BN - Skip Schumaker
BN - Ryan Church

SP - Roy Halladay
SP - Jake Peavy
SP - Jon Garland
RP - Joe Nathan
RP - Mariano Rivera
P - Scot Shields
P - Brad Ziegler
P - David Price
BN - Chad Durbin

Tex, Reyes and Peavy

The last spot comes down to Beltran, Kemp or Price. I think I would go with the more sure thing in Beltran right now but I could see either of the two as well.

Kemp is good, but Beltran is better. With 48 players being kept, you still have a good chance to get Kemp in the draft. If you didn't keep Beltran, he would easily be the first pick. I don't think it's even close.

I love Kemp. He's my sig. But I can't let you do this. You have to keep those other 4.

Alright, this appears to be a consensus. I'll take my chances on getting Kemp back in the draft. He's my favorite player in baseball, so we'll see what happens.

yup, this for sure. if you were absolutely hell bent on keeping kemp then you could keep him over peavy, but no way you keep him over beltran.

I agree with Tex, Beltran, Reyes. I think I'd take Halladay over Peavy.
