Although I really like sigs A and B, I'm not so sure they are head and shoulders above the rest. Giantsfan had an idea. Perhaps for the next sig contest, we should have people vote for their top 3 sigs and tally it up MVP style (5, 3, 1 point(s)). This would separate things out a bit at the floor and should give us a more accurate measure of which sigs people like best.

I'm with you on A & B not being head and shoulders above the pack, no disrespect intended to their creators. I've been in contest where you list your top 3 before and I'm not really against it.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.
i feel like when a few sigs get quite a few votes, people feel like they're wasting their votes for voting for a sig with zero or only a couple votes. nothing against A or B. those 2 are 2 of the best, but im just saying. the 5-3-1 is a good method as well.

agreed, once a couple sigs take the lead it basically becomes a 2 team race and people want to vote for the sig they think will win imo.

I didn't vote for A for a number of reasons. The background is largely indistinguishable except for the semitransparent Pedroia and Sox logo. The foreground, Pedroia, was just cut and pasted. The Garza and Lince sigs are inches behind the Wieters sig IMO.
Let's try and keep the discussion in the other thread, but I can definitely tell you that the render (what you call the foreground) on sig A was certainly not just cut and pasted. We'll let the artist explain himself after the voting is done but I can promise you that there are multiple layers there with hard/soft light.
Just did a quick search and found the original pic.
Do you see a difference? I know I do. As I said before, I also like sig B, but I can promise you that less was done with those renders than sig A.
I stand corrected....I still, however, think that there's not enough done to the foreground image of Pedroia to mesh with the background.
