I just think it makes things more interesting and challenging. Text is probably the thing people (including myself) struggle with the most. I'm not as fixed on the player's name being a requirement, but I think the award(s) should be included since that is the contest theme. However, if people really have a problem with the text requirement, then we can get rid of it.

i'm at my grandma's house today for christmas eve and will be gone to my aunt's for christmas day tomorrow so i won't even be able to start until the 26th. i dont mind the text requirement, its something i need to force myself to get better at, so this will help.

For contests I usually whip up 2 or 3 sigs and take a step back and decide which one will be the bread winner. The hard part for me is deciding which one I like best. I'm done one but I'll probably make another and see if I like it more.
