i think its really close between hamilton and teixeira. though last year, beltran outscored both of them by quite a bit in a league with your categories. i'd probably go with hamilton and hope that beltran fell to you in the 2nd round (assuming its a 12-teamer, he might)

Hamilton and Tex are close. Depends on how savvy the other owners in your league are. Obviously you lost Braun, so they may know a thing or two. If you go Beltran here you aren't gonna get Hamilton or Tex coming back. If you go Hamilton or Tex here there is a chance Beltran would make it back to you. blah blah blah.. I would go Hamilton and hope against hope that Beltran comes back around.

I'd also take the gamble on passing up Beltran and I think Tex/Hamilton are close to a toss-up, but I'd give the edge to Hamilton.

I'll do this: If Tex signs with Boston, I'd take him, otherwise I am going with Hamilton. You probably don't have that time though, so I'd go with Hamilton.

I personally think that 1.9 is to high for the players you mentioned outside of Braun.

Who were the first 7 picks if Braun went 1.8?
