I'd like to think that something could be learned from an expert's draft. It's really disappointing when you have to search to find it. It will take some time to completely analyse the draft and try to find some sense in it. I'm sure there is some good to find. But I'll start with some thoughts that jump out at a first glance. 1.Soriano before Holliday. That's nuts even with Holliday now with Oakland 2. Kemp and Ellsbury before Guerrero,Ichiro, and Crawford. I don't think so. 3.Soto and Votto before Webb and Peavy. 4. Edwin Encanacion ( Funston's Pick ) before Nathan,Chipper, Abreau, Felix . I bet I could find 50 players I would rather have than EE at that stage of the draft.
I'm sure everyone has opinions on picks taken too early and too late . I already can see that I like the Caf's mock draft better. This may be a good tread in that we can see different peoples thoughts on drafting.
If someone in my league came out of their first three picks with Rollins/Pedroia/Youk....I would make sure they had paid their league fees up front. I don't like any of those guys in those rounds.

I respectufully - and strongly - disagree. None of those are clear-cut better options than Lowe...well, maybe Grienke...
I agree Lowe was did very well last year while Grienke and Danks, maybe Garza were the only ones on that list who can compare.
Harang was horrid last season, and I am not going to go into depth with them. I just like Lowe more than the rest of them.
If Lowe goes to the American League, all of those players should have a better season. I should have prefaced it with that but yeah.
Edit: I don't think it's a coincidence that 8 of these guys are gone in the Cafe Mock while Lowe still remains.

The rest of his draft didn't get any better either.
It's pretty clear that most of these people just use these drafts to reach on guys they want to hype up rather than creating an accurate picture of a carefully drafted roster.

I agree, they are reaching because it is a mock and nothing is on the line. I rather look at someones money league draft than a mock draft. Mock drafts have no repercussions while a money league draft does, and drafting EE that early will haunt most people.
Also its still early to be taking these mocks seriously.

Honestly I am really trying in the Cafe mock. I know that I can't make any moves so I'm treating it as a draft and hold type team. Whoever ends up with the best looking roster wins.
