Dynasty trade

Postby TurdFerguson » Mon Dec 15, 2008 5:54 pm

Ive been offered my Vlad and Yunel Escobar for Joba and Jake Arietta..I could use another starter...We have a inn limit of 47 per week..Its head to head weighted league..I have Lincecum, E Santana, and Beckett as my top 3 starters..But after them Ive have a pretty good bit of risk with guys like Oliver Perez, Bedard,Parra, and Ublado Jimenez to name a few..My Of consist of Vlad,Beltran,Bruce,C Young, and Granderson...I'm leaning towards staying put because Jobas health really concerns me and I dont think you can rule out a move back to the pen..Any help would be appreciated..

Even in a dynasty you should be able to get more for Vlad than Joba. Keep looking, its a long time 'till the season starts.

If you're trading Vlad, you need to be getting a top 10 starter. Also, I'd rather have Escobar than Arrieta. Like Ayebatter said, it's a long way until the season. Hold off for something way better.

I agree with what has been said. Keep Vlad until a much better deal comes.

Not sure Vlad could net you a top 10 starter in a dynasty league anymore. But agreed bad trade.

No, but somewhere between 20 and 25 should be possible.
He once hit a ball between my legs so hard that my center-fielder caught it on the fly backing up against the wall.

If Satch (Paige) and I were pitching on the same team, we would clinch the pennant by July fourth and go fishing until World Series time.

Check out the 2009 Mock Draft here in the Cafe Forums. Vlad went at the end of round 3. Pitcher #6 (Cole Hamels) went at the beginning of round 4. Other drafts are similar. Hold out for a top 10 starter for Vlad. Otherwise, you are not maximizing his worth. I recognize it's a dynasty league, but the emphasis for most teams is on the present year.

In a dynasty nobody is going to give you a top 10 starter for Vlad anymore.
