i think i'd make that trade and also keep ichiro over cain. you have a really solid pitching staff with lincecum and webb and could use a boost in the offensive department

I don't think I'd do any of those. I even think with the Peavy/Gonzo for Tex/Martin you'd be giving up too much. Peavy is still likely to be dealt to a better team than what the Padres are. I'd hang onto him for now.
