Nah that would only cover the contracts of Tex and ARod
You could have had them both if you would have ponied up just a little more dough.
Thats ok those two havent helped to win a World Series yet so its ok.
Well Teixeira hasn't even taken the field yet, and it isn't A-Rod's fault the Yankees haven't won a championship yet. He's been phenomenal in New York and in all likelihood would have been in Boston as well.

Not trading for or signing A-Rod hasn't worked out too poorly for Boston. Can't argue with two championships since that time. Would they have won them with A-Rod? We'll never know, just the same as time will tell with Teix.
I didn't say it worked out poorly. I do think it's a little crazy to assume that Boston would have been worse WITH A-Rod, but if you want to say that you're fine with the deal not going down, I have no gripes with that. I was just pointing out that Boston had the opportunity to get both of these guys, if Henry only would have dug a little deeper, and he chose not to.
If the NTC was the deal-breaker, then that's fine. I respect that Boston sticks to its guns. But you can't then get upset when another team is willing to go that extra mile.
