With NYY focusing on pitching, and assuming they are able to procure their targets, I think he ends up in Beantown.

If Yankess do not get their pitching targets, I think it's a coin flip between them and Boston.

Only way I see another venue is if the cash is crazy different, but I cant see BOS and NYY getting outbid if they really want him.

Angels are more likely than BAL or WAS in my eyes as he's played there already with success and he may prefer to stay there.....personal family reasons etc.

If he comes East, I have to think it's going to be Boston right now

I don't see any way the Yankees get realistically involved, and I don't buy Baltimore or Washington getting him unless they go substantially higher than everyone else. Unfortunately, I think Boston's offer will be higher than LA's, plus Teix prefers the east coast anyway. So I hate to say it, but my guess would be Boston.

I think only the Angels and Sox are serious contenders, I see it playing out like this,


The sox don't need Tex right now. However
IF the Yankees pursue Manny which I highly doubt, they Sox will be forced to go after Tex,

While Baltimore and Washington are the hometown teams, both are rebuilding again/still and he isn't the guy to put them over the dge imo.
He wants to play on the east coast however so that's the big stop sign in front of the angels. I do expect the Red Sox to get into the mix but not for the years or money Tex is seeking.

I am going to say that I think Teixeira is good, but he is also over rated. Not worth a 10 yr 200 mil deal or whatever insane deal he gets.
