I love auction leagues, but it can be difficult to get everyone together at the same time. So, I'm putting together a new league with a slow auction and the following specs:
- NL only
- 5 x 5 ROTO, but using OBP instead of AVE.
- slow auction (probably on a message board) to be held in late Feb through March.
- 10 - 12 teams
- Active roster of 23 player (14 hitters, 9 pitchers) no bench, but can reserve players on MLB disabled list.
- Goal is to be a keeper. But may make this first year a redraft.
- when converted to a keeper league there would be a two round minor league draft
- weekly transactions
- small entry fee (around $50) to keep people interested, no cost for trades/waiver moves.
- hosted on CBS Sportsline (taken from entry fee)
- All remaining $$ distributed to winners

There are a few things with the New York Yankees that never change. That's pride, tradition, and most of all, we have the greatest fans in the world. -Derek Jeter, 9/21/08 -- last words from old Yankee Stadium
